What a fitting cake for a retirement party. Hopefully Don can get out and enjoy lots of tee times now without having the daily grind of work.
Golf bag is covered with chocolate fondant and textured to look like leather.

Horseshoe Tournament
This cake is for a customer that hosts an annual horseshoe tournament. She thought it would be fun to surprise everyone with a custom cake this year.
The weather this weekend isn't looking the greatest so hopefully they don't get rained out and still can have their tournament. If not they can all enjoy some cake indoors :)

Drivers, start your engines
This is for a little guy turning 6 that loves his Hot Wheels cars. This cake only needs to feed 10-15 which was a nice break from some of the larger cakes I have had lately.
Happy 6th Birthday Owen!

Fore
Everything is edible on this cake including the clubs. With the heat we had this week, this cake proved to be slightly more difficult to work with then I had anticipated. A few design changes where made due to the heat and what the cake could handle with the heat. Overall I am pretty happy with how it turned out, even if it's not 100% what I had visioned.

World Cup Fan
This was a 3D Soccer Ball cake for an Italian man that has found himself loving the world cup recently. His birthday party is tonight and all the decor is soccer balls and world cup items, so I am sure he will love it.

Batter Up
I was contacted 2 weeks ago to make a 1st birthday cake. The little guys Mom e-mailed me the pictures of her party decorations so I could match the cake to those.
This is the picture I received from her:

Paintball
This cake was super fun to make. At first I was a little stressed about it as the orginal cake was to be an xbox 360 then at the last minute they asked for paintball instead. I didn't have any time to plan or research a paintball field so I decided so this is the first thing that came to my mind.
Everything is buttercream, with fondant rocks, tires and walls. The 'dirt' is chocolate icing with Oreo cookie crumbs.
