Another Great Workshop

We did a full day of workshops yesterday and what a day it was.   I must say I have some great ladies that come out to the workshops which makes the day full of laughs.   I don't know what I look forward to more, the cake making or the time to hang out with these great ladies.

We made 2 cakes yesterday a purse and a golf bag.   I didn't do the golf bag cake as I gave my cakes to one of the ladies as she was short on baking time.   Their golf bags turned out great!   I missed getting a photo, but will try to snag one from one of them.

Here is my purse from the workshop.

Happy Mother's Day

There are so many great Mother's out there so Happy Mother's Day to all of you!

This cake was delivered today to a local retirement home for their Mother's Day celebration.  It was an honor to make this cake for a group of amazing Mother's and Grandmother's.

For all you fashion ladies out there

I was finally able to be a participant at a workshop rather then instructing one, and I had so much fun.   I was thrilled when Sweet Cakers offered this workshop and I signed up instantly to learn how to make this fun purse cake.   I now have so many ideas for other designs, so when I get the chance I will make some other samples up, and maybe some kid versions as well.

A Mother's Day Cake

This is a cake I did for Mother's Day.  I love how simple but elegant it is.   Taller cakes like these are harder to cover, but I am trying to get over my fear of them...he-he

Fun with cake pops

, So what is a cake pop you ask.......a little piece of heaven!   I came across the world of cake pops on Bakerella and had to try them out.  They are made from cake crumbled up then mixed with icing which you then form into balls  (or what ever shape you need), as if that doesn't sound yummy as it is, you then dip them in chocolate!!   Trust me, they taste amazing.

These are some fun little chick pops for Easter.

Here are some great spring flowers.   I love the colours of these.   The cake pop is the base under the flower, so you get an added bonus of candy with these ones :)
I will also be making this for Mother's Day so let me know if you are interested in ordering yours as I need to get some of the supplies while Easter items are still out.

These little guys didn't turn out as cute as I had hoped but I wanted to post them for you anyways.  My kids love the show In the night garden.   These are two of the characters from the show.
